Inspired by Naturalis’ DNA, Iris van Herpen’s recently opened installation displays the evolution of forces behind the formation of fossils and stones; morphing her contemporary vision to our planet’s natural memory of ages. Van Herpen’s design span over one kilometre, gracefully draping as a ribbon around the museum’s stone structure with an artery of diverse textures pulsing across its surface.
