Glamour and Glitter @ The Met

The dress code for the annual ‘Met Gala’ in New-York (the largest redcarpet party on earth) is ‘Heavenly Bodies, Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’. It’s also the opening night of the exhibition with the same name at The Met Fifth Avenue in New-York. Designs by Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Chanel and Valentino – to name but a few – are showcased alongside medieval art. Religious, antique artefacts from the Vatican, including a papal tiara encompassing 18,000 diamonds, are displayed separately to avoid controversial issues.
