‘De Ploeg 1918–1928’ is on exhibit in the Groninger Museum. ‘De Ploeg' is a Dutch artist’s association, founded in 1918 in reaction to the art, architecture and literature climate at that time in Groningen. ‘De Ploeg’ exists to this day, but its importance in the history of art lies in the1920s, with the creation of ‘avant-garde’, expressionist and impressionist works.
