The alphabet illustrations
English illustrator Adam Simpson compiled the alphabet and four punctuation marks into 30 unique scenes. Use a magnifying glass to catch the married couple that, after a glass of wine, approach each other in the bed on top of the P. Or the modern C that looks a lot like the Solo Office, a round building on show elsewhere in this issue. Simpson’s career got off to a flying start thanks to Terence Conran, who contracted him to provide the elevator in his new hotel with an illustration. Ever since, he has worked both small – postage stamps, and very large – a mural three floors high for the Hilton in Wembley.
