Artisan work, age-old techniques and traditions, refined work enriched with modern ideology to lift us up and lead us. WOTH is happily staying in room 524, which was decorated by Shuzo Azuchi Gulliver. Also on display and for sale (!) are the beautiful photos of Japan by photographer Iwan Baan (his work can be seen starting on page 136).
MONO Japan
Japan is visiting the Netherlands for the third time through the annual event Mono Japan, in our very own Cultural Embassy at the Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam. With at least 20 presentations, workshops and lectures in three days by special Japanese brands and design collectives like Studio Chikufusha, Kyo-To-To, Mgnet and Mujun. Each of them shows that everything from Japan is of unparalleled quality and beauty.
