SHOPPING MALL (seduction)

The largest shopping mall’s in the world are the best in seducing people to buy stuff with glamour and shine. The vintage Nagel S22 candleholders in gold, designed by Caesar Stoffi and Fritz Nagel in the sixties produced by BMF Germany, would be the perfect tool to lure everybody into any store. (p.o.r. Mrs Jack) The Frankie candleholder (7.1 x 24 x 7.8 cm), designed by Femke Furnée of Fest Amsterdam, adds extra mirroring light effects. (€ 45) Domsai, a desk terrarium, (22 cm) designed by Matteo Cibic for Bosa, is hand decorated with 24kt gold. (€ 199, MEK) These porcelain legs have an equally positive vibe as the message embossed in the blushers of & other stories (€ 12) “Go Girl seek happy thoughts.” Seduction is one of the main tasks of perfume; Givenchy’s Dahlia Divin does this with its "sensual, floral gourmand scent with a top note of mimosa, heart notes of jasmine and base notes of sandalwood, vanilla and tonka beans. According to Givenchy "The woman (can also) attain(s) the apogee of her beauty and the pinnacle of her power.” (75ml spray Eau de parfum)

windy city (not Chicago)

The Postmodern, vintage coffee decanter (24.5 cm) is a wonderful starting point to create a skyline. This design classic, named City Scape, was designed in 1985 by Lutz Rabold for Arzberg. (P.o.r., Mrs. Jack) In addition, the milk jug Haphazard Harmony (13 x7,5 x 14.5 cm) by Maarten Baas has a less business like appearance. (€ 36, Frozen Fountain) More state-of-the-art porcelain: the t.e. 62 oil jug, (9 x 9.5 cm) designed by Aldo Bakker, is only glazed on the inside. (€ 76, Frozen Fountain) The slanted plastic cup Doidy-Cup is scientifically designed by Bickiepegs Healthcare in the 1950's to teach children to drink without a bottle, (€ 4, ubershop.nl) it’s placed on the Edison The Petit lamp designed by Jukka Setälä Fatboy (ø 16 x 25 cm € 64.95) The last item in plastic is the Braun alarmclock (7.7 × 7.3 × 5,1 cm) with its iconic yellow third handle (€ 25, Frozen Fountain)

PINK RIO

This Urban landscape is inspired by sunny Rio de Janeiro, but it also shows the contradictions which can be found in any major city. The Maria figurine (7 cm) is designed by the Gem Kingdom and is made from porcelain with sterling silver details, (€ 69) it’s placed on top of the To Go Click’ steel cup (10,5 x 4,5 x 21,5 cm, 0,2 l) from the ‘I:Con’ series by Stelton (€ 29,95) Unlike the ‘To Go’ cup the vintage Tupperware tumblers, with the famous "burping seal” invented by Earl Tupper (scientist and pioneer in plastic household products) never used to keep your drinks hot. (p.o.r., Mrs Jack) Cool-it water carafe in glass, (9 x 9 x 32 cm, 1 l) designed by Francis Cayouette for Rigtig closes with a rubber stopper (€24,95) The teaspoon from the Duo series by Sabre Paris has a thick acrylic handle, as hard as glass. (€ 12,25, Studio Bazar) The Glass Flute, designed by Bernard Heesen (€ 30, Frozen Fountain) has the same rugged appearance as the small oil lamp, designed by Job Martens. (from €110, Jobprops) Both are made by hand by the artists. Situated below the lamp are Some Jelly Beans.
